Drive vs ride

🔸 Drive — кіраваць транспартам

• Ужываецца, калі чалавек кіруе машынай ці іншым транспартным сродкам са стырнавым кіраваннем.
• Звычайна з аўтамабілем, аўтобусам, грузавіком і г.д.

Прыклад:

• I can drive a car. — Я ўмею кіраваць аўтамабілем.
• She is driving to work. — Яна едзе (сама за стырном) на працу.

🔹 Ride — ехаць пасажырам або сядзець верхам

• Ужываецца, калі чалавек не кіруе транспартам з дапамогаю стырна, а едзе як пасажыр, або едзе верхам (на ровары, кані, матацыкле і г.д.).

Прыклад:

• I ride a bike every morning. — Я кожную раніцу катаюся на ровары.
• She rode the horse like a professional. — Яна ехала на кані як прафесіянал.
• I rode the bus to school. — Я даехаў у школу на аўтобусе (як пасажыр).
